Peer Review, 15-16 June 2009: Ensuring a functioning healthcare system in regions with declining and ageing populations
On 15-16 June, a Peer Review will be held in Brandenburg (Germany) to inform other Member States of the “Gemeindeschwester-Modell” project, under which “community nurses” carry out home-visits to relieve general practitioners. The Peer Review will provide an opportunity to discuss how primary medical care can be improved in rural areas through more flexible approaches.
